San Diego, 8.19.2015

San Diego, Calif. – The San Diego Air & Space Museum is hosting a special one-time San Diego screening of the documentary film “Flying the Feathered Edge: The Bob Hoover Project” at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 2 at the AMC Mission Valley 20.

Robert A. ‘Bob’ Hoover, age 92, is considered by many to be our greatest living aviator, and he has influenced generations of pilots with his precision flying and gentlemanly demeanor. Nicknamed ‘The Pilot’s Pilot’ by his peers, Bob is largely unknown outside aviation circles despite his staggering array of accomplishments.

In ‘Flying the Feathered Edge,’ Director Kim Furst captures every nuance of Bob’s amazing life story by skillfully interweaving vintage still images, rare historic footage, and exclusive testimonials from other flight legends past and present – bringing the legend’s incredible life story into the limelight.

In addition to Hoover, the film features Harrison Ford, Dick and Burt Rutan, Carroll Shelby, Gene Cernan, Clay Lacy, Sean D. Tucker, and Medal of Honor Recipient Colonel Bud Day.
